Various organizations are notorious for organizing marches, strikes and boycotts. While these public displays can be very effective many people that participate do not understand the actual purpose that these protests serve.
Public rallies for the purpose of a common cause or problem are not for the purpose of solving a problem. Marches and strikes serve as a tool of exposing (or marketing) a problem and making it public. Once the problem is made public there are certain strategies to use to begin dialogue among key players and stake holders that can help with resolving the issue or a problem.
